Tibenham Air Camp 2013

After an incredibly busy week, the Scouts are back from the 2013 Air Camp at Tibenham.

After a successful event in 2011, Steve (Our AGSL), organised another fantastic event this year, which we again opened up to other troops- and 5th Canvey Island Air Scout Group joined us for the week.

Over the week, all of the Scouts went powered flying, gliding & had a flight in a helicopter! Our explorers also got a flight in a Microlight. In addition to this, we had other activities such as a trip to the Flixton Air Museum, swimming at Bungay pool, Archery, Air Rifle shooting, Giraffe walking, the trading post (Where patrols had a set amount of money, and had to complete activities to gain more) and a lot of craft activities such as making friendship bracelets and painting tee-shirts (even the leader teams got involved!) And we finished off with a great campfire on Thursday evening. The weather was even kind to us (except a monsoon on one evening!).

There are plenty of photos on the ‘Photos’ menu– and more will follow in the same gallery.
